Get to know Suheil

From a very early age, I was captivated by anything out of the ordinary, with fashion and home décor leading the way. Though I didn’t realize it then, unconventional fashion became a powerful way to externalize my inner world as a neurodivergent individual. Similarly, interior design offered a sanctuary—a creative outlet where I could curate my own environment and leave the outside world behind.

Growing up, my family had tight finances, which pushed me to become highly resourceful with what I already had. I loved locking myself in my room, blasting music, and pouring my energy into redecorating my space or upcycling a garment. Soon, people started noticing. By my teens, I was already styling friends and acquaintances.

At 20, I bought my first home and completely remodeled it, embracing unconventional design choices every step of the way. When it came time to sell, multiple realtors asked which professional designer I had hired to do the work. That was the exact moment I realized: I am a designer.

In 2003, I opened my first business, Interiors by Suheil. When I met my husband in 2005, his medical career required us to relocate frequently, so I closed the business and transitioned to doing interior design and wardrobe styling behind the scenes.

My passion, however, never faded. I rarely went out without someone complimenting a piece I was wearing, which inspired me to launch an online boutique, Suheil’s Paradigma, in 2014. Finally, in 2019, my husband gave me the gentle push I needed to step fully back into the spotlight. He noted, "You always seem to sleep better when you have a creative outlet." That realization birthed Design Your Life with Suheil—a space where I finally brought all of my talents together under one roof.
